Preface: I know that I said I would do a lot more during winter break, and I really meant that, but in the end, there were really no albums that I had any interest in. That's also why I'm choosing this fairly old album to review now. Leo Rising is the sophomore album of married pop/hip-hop group Karmin, consisting of Amy, the vocalist, and Nick, the producer. Unlike Karmin's first album, this one was released independently, with the duo writing every song and Nick producing every song (except for "Come With Me", which he co-produced). I've been a fan of Karmin a long time, a lot more at the "Acapella"-era, but sadly I didn't listen to this album until this month, even though it was released on September 23rd. Nevertheless, I'm glad that I finally decided to listen to thisA very notable feature about this album is how they released a "couch video", a low budget video of them basically looking at the camera, for every song on it, ...
I review both singles and albums from my own perspective. Leave me a request, and it's very likely that I'll do it. Do note that I am not a professional music critic; I am doing this to improve my writing skills, and because music is my passion.
